The common questions.
Pricing, timelines, tech, who owns the code, and what happens after launch — sorted before you reach out.
Most marketing sites run $9k–$28k, web-app front-ends from $14k, and headless stores from $16k — by scope, page count, and integrations. Performance audits start at $1,800. You get a fixed, written quote before any work begins; I do not bill by the hour for project work.
A typical marketing site is 4–7 weeks; a web-app front-end 6–12 weeks; a performance engagement 2–4 weeks. Timeline depends on scope and how fast we can get content and feedback. We agree on the dates up front and I keep you posted with weekly preview deploys.
You do — fully. The code lives in your repository (or one I transfer to you), with no lock-in, no proprietary platform, and a handoff walkthrough plus documentation. The CMS account, hosting, and domain are all in your name.
React, Next.js, and TypeScript for most work; GSAP and Lenis for motion; Tailwind or design-token CSS for styling; Sanity or Contentful for headless content; Shopify Hydrogen for commerce. I pick the lightest tool that fits the job, and I can work in Webflow when your team should own the site no-code.
I’m a front-end specialist — I build the interface, wire it to your API or a headless CMS, and collaborate closely with your back-end team. For full-stack needs I can bring in a trusted back-end partner, or build against a service like Supabase or a headless platform.
Two options: a monthly care retainer (from $1,200/mo) for ongoing pages, experiments, and a developer on call — or simply being able to email me when something comes up. Either way, the code is documented so any developer can pick it up.
Usually, yes. I start with a Core Web Vitals audit, fix the heavy hitters — images, fonts, bundle size, render-blocking scripts — and give you a measured before/after. Most sites see the biggest gains from a handful of changes; you’ll see exactly which ones moved the numbers.
Both. I design and build, which is why the details land. If you already have a designer or a Figma file, I build it faithfully and flag anything that would hurt performance or accessibility before it ships.
Direct and async-friendly. You work with the person writing the code — no account managers, no hand-offs. Weekly preview deploys, clear scope, and replies within a business day. I take on a small number of projects at a time so yours gets real attention.
